These juicy bacon and cheese stuffed burgers will wow your guests! The center includes shredded cheese and crumbled cooked bacon, which adds moisture and flavor to the hamburgers. Thin, seasoned burger patties are layered with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon in the center. Seal the edges well to keep the filling inside, and grill or broil the hamburgers to perfection!

Recipe Variations

  • Stuff the burgers with chopped or sliced sautéed mushrooms with cheddar, Gruyère, or Swiss cheese.
  • Instead of cheddar cheese, stuff the burgers with pepper jack, mozzarella, or a taco-flavored cheese.
  • Stuff them with 1 teaspoon of minced jalapeño pepper and cheddar jack cheese.
  • Add minced onions to the burger stuffing mixture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (85%)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (3 ounces)
  • 4 to 6 slices bacon, cooked, drained, and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly combine ground beef, salt, garlic powder, pepper, and soy sauce. Divide mixture into 8 thin patties of equal size (about 3 ounces each).
  2. In another bowl, combine the shredded cheese, bacon, and parsley; divide into four portions and mound in the center of four patties. Top each of the four patties with the remaining four patties; seal the edges. Cover and refrigerate or cook immediately.
  3. Cook on the grill or under the broiler to desired doneness.
