Save a little money by making Italian seasoning at home. This is a basic homemade blend of herbs along with some optional garlic powder.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, optional

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, combine the basil, marjoram, oregano, sage, and garlic powder, if using. Blend thoroughly.
  • Transfer the mixture to a small jar or container and label with the name and "best by" date. Store in a cool, dark place.
