This easy dressing is great on just about any salad. Use it on a grilled chicken salad, cucumbers, or use it as a tangy sandwich spread. Add extra milk for a thinner dressing, or omit the milk if you’re using it as a sandwich spread or dip. You can also switch out the herbs. Instead of dried tarragon, use some fresh chopped dill weed or chives.

Use this easy sour cream dressing as a dip, sandwich spread, or salad dressing. It’s a tangy mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream with herbs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon tarragon vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried tarragon, crumbled
  • Dash garlic powder
  • Dash freshly ground black pepper
  • Dash onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon milk (or to desired consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and vinegar; mix well. Add the garlic powder, pepper, and onion powder. Add a small amount of milk as needed for consistency.
