Slow Cooker Maple Country-Style Ribs
Maple syrup and spices flavor these crockpot pork ribs. Use meaty country-style ribs in this recipe.
These slow cooker maple country style pork ribs are sweet and spicy. Country-style ribs are usually boneless, but can be found with part of the shoulder blade. Use boneless or bone-in ribs in this recipe.
Country-style pork ribs are larger and meatier than traditional pork ribs. They are actually cut from the shoulder. Despite the name, the meat is not cut from the ribs.
Slow Cooker Maple Country-Style Ribs
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs country-style pork ribs
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dried minced onion, or use fresh
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- dash of pepper
Instructions
- Place the pork ribs in the crockpot.
- In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; pour over pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 7 to 9 hours, or cook on high for about 4 hours.
