This easy casserole is the perfect weekend or holiday morning breakfast or brunch. The casserole is prepared the night before, so all you have to do is pop it in the oven in the morning. A combination of eggs, cheese, and sausage make it a complete protein-rich meal that’s quick and easy to prepare and bake. A basic breakfast casserole is a versatile dish that can be altered. Try adding different ingredients. Swap out the sausage with bacon or diced ham or add different seasonings.

What To Serve With Breakfast Casserole

  • Green Salad: A salad of mixed greens, sliced grape tomatoes, and a light vinaigrette adds color and texture to a breakfast or brunch.
  • Avocado Slices: Avocado slices add color and complement the savory flavors of the breakfast casserole.
  • Hash Browns or Home Fries: Crisp fried potatoes or hash browns can add pleasant crunch to a breakfast casserole meal.
  • Pastries or Bread: Toast, muffins, quick bread, English muffins, croissants, or bagels are good choices.
  • Hot Sauce or Salsa: Put a Mexican twist on your egg casserole meal with salsa or hot sauce.
  • Fresh Fruit: A melon salad or sliced fruit or whole berries can add freshness to a breakfast egg bake.
