For the Apples

 

  • 1 teaspoon softened butter for the pan
  • 1 1/2 pounds apples (Honeycrisp, peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water

 

For the Crumble

 

  • 1 stick butter (113 g)
  • 1 cup flour (170 g)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons quick oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch salt

 

For Serving

 

  • Sweet cream, whipped cream, or ice cream

Instructions

Air-Fry the Apples:
Butter a 7-inch round baking dish or pan with 1 teaspoon of softened butter. Add the apples. Combine 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with 1 teaspoon of flour and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Add the sugar mixture to the apples and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of water. Cover the pan with foil and air fry at preheated 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes or until the apples are softened. Stir gently.

  • Make the Topping: While the sliced apples are cooking, combine 1 stick of butter, 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, the oats, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a medium bowl. Work the butter into the mixture to form the crumbs.

  • Air-Fry the Crumble Dessert: Sprinkle the crumb mixture over the cooked apples and return to the air fryer. Cook for 7 to 10 minutes or until the topping is browned.

  • Cool: Transfer the Crumble to a rack to cool slightly.

  • Serve: Arrange servings in dessert dishes with a drizzle of cream, a dollop of sweetened whipped cream, or a scoop of ice cream. Enjoy!
