A can of frosting, melted chocolate, and some liqueur make these truffles a fast and easy treat. Roll them in funfetti, coconut, cocoa, finely chopped nuts, or powdered or granulated sugar.
You can use any liqueur you have on hand, or use fruit juice or syrup if you prefer. If you don’t have a double boiler, place a heat-safe bowl over simmering water, or melt the chocolate in a cup in the microwave, stirring every 20 to 30 seconds.
How to Store Easy Homemade Truffles
- Store truffles in an airtight container in a cool dry place or in the refrigerator. Separate truffles with wax paper and use several small containers if necessary. They should last for about 1 week in the fridge.
- For longer storage—about 5 to 6 months—truffles may be frozen.
