Easy Chocolate Truffles

These chocolate mock truffles are unbelievably easy! Frosting, milk chocolate, and liqueur make creamy, delicious treats, and the coating adds texture.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces coarsely chopped chocolate, milk or dark
  • 1 (16-ounce) tub creamy chocolate frosting
  • 1 tbsp Bailey's Irish Cream or Kahlua
  • Finely chopped nuts, jimmies, coconut, or sugar, for rolling

Instructions

  • Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Stir until evenly melted.

  • Remove the chocolate from the heat and add the frosting to it, along with the Irish Cream or Kahlua. Blend well.

  • Chill in refrigerator for 3 to 4 hours or overnight.
  • Use a spoon, small cookie scoop, or melon baller to scoop mixture in uniform amounts. Shape into balls and roll in finely chopped nuts, jimmies, coconut, or sugar (granulated or confectioners').

  • Place the truffles in mini muffin cups lined with mini cupcake liners. Chill until firm.
  • Store the truffles in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
