Easy Harvard Beets

These Harvard beets are quick and easy to prepare with canned beets and a thickened sweet-sour sauce. Delicious and nutritious beets with a sweet and sour sauce.

Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes



  1. In a medium saucepan, stir together the sugar and cornstarch. Whisk in the vinegar and water and cook, stirring, until thickened.
  2. Add the beets and continue cooking, stirring frequently, for about 20 to 25 minutes, until nicely glazed. Add the butter, salt, and pepper and serve hot.

Serves 6
