I have to attribute my passion for cooking to my grandfather, a baker and chef who cooked for restaurants, farms, and a few grand resorts in Maine. I still think of him when I bake, especially when I knead bread, roll out molasses cookie dough, or fry a batch of doughnuts. Those were just a few of his specialties.
I started this site in 1995, and since then, I've created and shared thousands of recipes, from Southern and Regional US recipes to some International favorites. Besides this Website, I write for The Spruce (Southern Food), and have two published cookbooks:
