Ingredients
  

  • 2 15- ounce cans black beans, drained
  • 1 14.5- ounce cans fire roasted tomatoes or zesty chili style tomatoes, diced
  • 1 4- ounce cans chopped mild green chile
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro, optional

Instructions

  • Combine drained black beans, fire roasted tomatoes, chile, onion, garlic, cumin, oregano, red pepper, salt, and pepper in the slow cooker insert.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Stir the cilantro into the beans just before serving.
