Ingredients
  

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, fresh ground
  • Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Garnish: fresh chopped parsley
  • Garnish: Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • In a slow cooker, combine the butter, olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Cover the pot and cook on high for 20 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp and stir to coat.
  • Cover the pot and cook on high for 15 minutes. Add the lemon juice; stir and replace the cover. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes longer, or until the shrimp are opaque.
  • Serve the shrimp with angel hair pasta or rice. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese, if desired.
