Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons milk, for melting the chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
  • 1 ounce semi-sweet baking chocolate
  • 1 ⅓ cups milk, for the pudding
  • 1 pkg instant chocolate pudding, (3.9 ounces)
  • 2 cups whipped topping, thawed, light or regular

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the 2 tablespoons of milk with the instant coffee and chocolate. Cook, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. If hot, it could thin the pudding mixture.
  • Meanwhile, in a bowl, beat the 1 1/3 cups of milk with the pudding mix until well blended and thickened, about 2 minutes.
  • Blend the melted chocolate mixture into the pudding mixture. Fold in the whipped topping until well blended. Spoon into dessert dishes and refrigerate until serving time.
