Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces rotini, or a similar pasta shape
  • 8 ounces ham, diced cooked
  • 1/2 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, red, green, or combination, chopped
  • 1 4-ounce can black olives, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt , or seasoned salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 basil leaves, chopped, optional
  • 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Cook the rotini in boiling salted water following package directions. Drain the pasta and transfer it to a large bowl.
  • Add the diced ham, onion, bell pepper, sliced olives, parsley, garlic powder, salt or seasoned salt, pepper, and basil. Toss to mix.
  • In a small bowl, combine the relish and mayonnaise; blend thoroughly. Add more mayonnaise, if desired.
