This red sauce for pizza is a super fast prep and delicious. Just blend the ingredients and simmer for a few minutes. That's all there is to it!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 14.5-ounce can tomatoes, diced
  • 1 6-ounce can tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried leaf oregano
  • 3/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • dash crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste (optional)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender and process until smooth.
  • Pour the sauce into a medium saucepan; bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Lower the heat and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to blend the flavors. 
  • Spread the sauce over a homemade or purchased pizza crust and add your favorite toppings.
  • Makes 2 cups, enough for two 12-inch to 14-inch pizzas.
