1 1/2poundsbeef, sirloin tip or round, cut in thinly sliced 2-inch strips
1medium onion, sliced
1 1/2green bell peppers, cut into strips
1/2teaspoonminced garlic
1 14.5-ouncecan diced tomatoes
1beef bouillon cube or equivalent granules or base
1tablespooncornstarch
2tablespoonswater
2tablespoonssoy sauce
1teaspoonsugar
1/2teaspoonsalt
3cupswide noodles, about 6 ounces
1cupshredded cheddar cheese

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add beef strips and sprinkle with garlic powder. Sauté, stirring occasionally, until the meat is browned.
Remove meat from skillet; add onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for 2 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute longer.
Return meat to the skillet along with tomatoes and bouillon cube. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Blend together the cornstarch, water, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Add to meat mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Reduce heat and cook for 2 minutes longer.
Meanwhile, cook noodles following the package directions; drain.
Toss the hot noodles with the shredded cheddar cheese. Serve pepper steak with the cheddar noodles.
