These classic magic cookie bars are simple, and you don't have to wait for a holiday to enjoy them! They are the perfect sweet treat for kids and adults!

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Put the butter in a 9-by-13-inch baking pan and place it in the oven until it has melted. Remove the pan to a rack.
    1/2 cup salted butter
  • Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs evenly over the melted butter.
    2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the graham cracker crumb layer.
    1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • Layer with the chocolate chips, coconut, and pecans or walnuts. Gently press the top layers down with your hand or a spatula so they adhere to the sweetened condensed milk and hold together.
    2 cups semisweet chocolate chips | 1 1/3 cups sweetened flaked coconut | 1 cup chopped pecans
