Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium cucumbers
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice or white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoon chopped fresh dill
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Peel the cucumbers and slice them thinly; put them in a serving bowl.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sugar, salt, sour cream, finely chopped onion, lemon juice or vinegar, and chopped dill. Blend well.
  • Add the dressing mixture to the cucumbers and toss to coat.
  • Season to taste with freshly ground black pepper.
  • Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled, at least 1 hour.
