Instructions

  • Layer the ingredients in the bread machine following the manufacturer’s suggested order. Choose the dough cycle and press the start button.
    1 1/2 cups warm water | 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil | 3 3/4 cups bread flour | 1 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar | 1 1/2 tsp fine sea salt or table salt | 1 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
  • When the cycle finishes, turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Divide it into 2 portions. Use immediately or wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate it until you're ready to make a pizza.
  • Tip: Let the dough rest for 10 minutes after dividing so it relaxes and stretches more easily.
  • Fit half of the dough into a 12- to 14-inch pizza pan. Repeat with the remaining dough or freeze it for another day.
  • Top the uncooked crust with your preferred sauce, along with desired toppings and cheese. Bake at 400°F for approximately 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the cheese has melted.

The dough will make 2 to 3 pizzas, depending on the thickness of the crust.
