This flavorful tarragon mayonnaise is a delicious combination of mayonnaise, fresh tarragon, lemon juice and zest, and garlic. Use it as a sandwich spread or serve it with fried seafood, crab cakes, or baked or grilled fish fillets. It’s great with salmon!

Tarragon mayonnaise is a tasty spread to serve with fish or seafood, or use it as a sandwich spread. It’s wonderful on turkey or roast beef sandwiches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons fresh finely chopped tarragon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 clove garlic, mashed and very finely minced
  • Dash salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, tarragon, lemon juice, zest, and garlic. Blend thoroughly.
  2. Add salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for an hour or two for the best flavor.
