If the oven isn’t an option, you can use your pressure cooker to bake a delicious cake. This Instant Pot pear cake is easy to prepare and cook in a 6-cup Bundt cake pan (Amazon link). I like caramel sauce or butterscotch sauce drizzled over the cake, but a simple vanilla icing or a dusting of powdered sugar are also excellent options.

How To Make Instant Pot Pear Cake
- Place a trivet in the Instant Pot and add 1 1/2 cups of water. Grease a 6-cup Bundt cake pan.
- Beat the cake ingredients in a bowl with an electric mixer.
- Fold in the diced pears.
- Spread the batter in the Bundt Cake pan.
- Cover the pan loosely with foil and place the cake pan on a foil sling or silicone baking sling.
- Place the cake in the Instant Pot. Set the instant pot to pressure cook the cake for 45 minutes.
- When the time is up let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then release the remaining pressure manually.
- Remove the cake and remove the foil. Let the cake stand for 5 minutes before carefully inverting onto a plate. If desired, drizzle with a sauce or syrup.
- Slice the cake and enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups flour (5 3/4 ounces)
- 1 cup diced pears
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Pinch nutmeg
- Pinch allspice
Instructions
- Grease a 6-cup Bundt cake pan.
- Place the trivet in the Instant Pot inner pot and add 1 1/2 cups of water.
- In a mixing bowl with an electric mixer, combine the brown sugar, butter, egg and milk; beat until smooth.
- Add the baking soda, vanilla extract, flour, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and allspice; mix on low speed until well blended. Fold in the diced pears.
- Spread the batter in the prepared cake pan. Cover the pan loosely with foil.
- Place the cake pan on a foil sling or baking sling and lower it onto the trivet.
- Secure the Instant Pot lid and turn the steam release valve to the sealing position.
- Choose the manual or pressure cook button (high pressure) and set the timer to 45 minutes.
- When the time is up let the pressure come down naturally for 10 minutes and then move the valve to the venting position.
- Remove the cake to a rack and remove the foil. Let the cake stand for 5 minutes and then carefully invert it onto a plate.
