Maple Apple Barbecue Sauce

Applesauce and maple syrup team up in this delicious barbecue sauce. some lemon juice and spices balance out the flavors.

Cook Time: 11 minutes
Total Time: 23 minutes

Ingredients:


Instructions:

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet or medium saucepan over medium heat; add the onion and cook, stirring, for about 2 minutes, or until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute longer.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. Lower heat to medium-low and continue cooking, uncovered, for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until thickened.
  3. Makes about 2 cups of barbecue sauce.
