  • 3/4 cup (60 grams) cocoa
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar, light or dark
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips, optional (milk or semisweet)

  5. Add the dry ingredients and stir to blend.
  6. Fold in the nuts, chocolate chips, or whatever add-ins you like.
  7. Spread the batter in the prepared baking pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes. brownie batter in the pan
