Instructions
Lightly grease the bottom and sides of the slow cooker.
Combine the sauerkraut, smoked sausage, sliced apples, and onions in the slow cooker.
In a bowl, combine the apple juice, brown sugar, mustard, caraway seeds, if using, and the salt and pepper. Pour over the sauerkraut and sausage mixture; stir to blend ingredients.
Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 7 hours (HIGH for about 3 hours).
