If you’re looking for a tasty side dish to serve with Sunday dinner or a holiday feast, this corn pudding is a great choice.

  • 1 stick butter, melted (4 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 (15-ounce) can whole kernel corn (drained, or 1 1/2 to 2 cups of frozen steamed corn)
  • 1 (14.75-ounce) can cream-style corn
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Butter an 8-inch baking dish.
  3. Combine the flour and melted butter in a bowl; blend thoroughly. Whisk the sugar, milk, and eggs into the butter mixture until well blended.
  4. Add both kinds of corn to the first mixture and stir to blend. Taste and add salt and pepper, to taste.
  5. Bake the corn pudding for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until set and the top is golden brown.
