Simple buttered noodles are an excellent main dish with pork chops, meatballs, shrimp scampi, stroganoff, or salmon.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces medium noodles (or wide egg noodles)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • Kosher salt (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles in boiling salted water following package directions.
  2. Add the butter to a large serving bowl.
  3. Drain the noodles thoroughly and then transfer them to the serving bowl; toss with the butter and parsley until well blended.
  4. Taste and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
