Budget-friendly turkey legs make a satisfying main dish for a family. A homemade barbecue sauce adds flavor to these easy turkey legs.

  • 6 turkey legs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of liquid smoke, if desired
  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onions or about 1/4 cup of finely chopped onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 F.
  2. Arrange the turkey legs in large baking dish or foil-lined baking pan.
  3. Sprinkle turkey legs with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over turkey.
  5. Bake for about 2 hours, basting frequently with the sauce.
