Swiss Chicken Casserole

print This chicken casserole is similar to a hot chicken salad, made with salad dressing, stuffing, and Swiss cheese. A one dish meal for an easy everyday family dinner.

Total Time: 35 minutes


*To toast almonds, spread out in a single layer on a baking sheet. Toast in a 350 F oven, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 12 minutes. Or, toast in an ungreased skillet over medium heat, stirring, until golden brown and aromatic.

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F.
  2. If using cheese slices, cut into small strips.
  3. Combine chicken, celery, stuffing cubes, salad dressing, milk, green onion, salt, pepper, and Swiss cheese. Sprinkle with toasted almonds.
  4. Cover casserole and bake for 25 minutes. Remove cover and continue baking 10 minutes longer.
