These crispy baked hot honey wings offer sweet and hot flavors, making them the perfect party snack. You can also make them a meal with your favorite side dishes.

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 6 tablespoons hot sauce (e.g., Texas Pete, Frank’s)
  • Juice and zest of 1 lime
  • 3 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 450 F and line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil. Pat the chicken wings with paper towels to dry and sprinkle all over with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Arrange them on the lined baking sheet. Roast the wings in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, combine the butter and hot sauce in a saucepan. Transfer half of the sauce mixture to a large bowl.

  4. When the 15 minutes are up, remove the chicken to a rack and brush all over with the mixture from the saucepan. Return the chicken wings to the oven and continue cooking for 10 to 15 minutes or until the wings are browned and thoroughly cooked.

  5. Transfer the cooked wings to the large bowl and add the lime zest and honey. Toss to coat.
