Fresh Cream Style Corn Recipe

Fresh cream-style corn is made with corn scraped from the cobs, butter, and milk or light cream. This is an absolutely delicious way to prepare fresh corn!
There are all kinds of tasty ways to use fresh or frozen corn. You might also like this delicious corn and sausage chowder. This cucumber and corn salsa is another way, or you might add corn to homemade cornbread or fritters.

- Cut the corn from the cobs and scrape to get all of the milk and sweet pulp.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. When the butter is hot, stir in the corn and juices, 1/3 cup of water, and the sugar. Cook, stirring frequently, until the corn is tender.
- Stir in the flour and water mixture and the salt and pepper. Blend well. Stir in the milk and cook, stirring, for about 2 minutes longer, until hot and thickened, but not boiling.
