Colorful Cole Slaw

This cole slaw is colorful and flavorful, with red and green cabbage, carrots, apple, and easy dressing. Make it a little ahead of time so the salad will have plenty of time -- at least 1 hour -- to chill before serving time.

Total Time: 15 minutes



  1. Cut the cabbages into quarters and remove cores; shred and place in a large bowl. Add the shredded carrots and apple.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the mustard, sugar, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of the mayonnaise or salad dressing.
  3. Toss with the cole slaw mixture, blending well. Add more mayonnaise or salad dressing until desired consistency and taste is reached.
  4. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving time.
