These bars are made with melted butter, brown sugar, and chocolate chips. I like walnuts in these butterscotch bars, but pecans would work as well, or leave the nuts out altogether. These are great lunchbox treats!

Total Time: 35 minutes
- Heat the oven to 350 F.
- In a mixing bowl with an electric mixer, combine melted butter with sugar; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift together the dry ingredients; stir into the butter mixture.
- Fold in nuts, chocolate chips, and vanilla.
- Spread batter into a greased and floured jelly roll pan, 10x15x1-inch. Bakefor 25 minutes.
Makes about 4 dozen bars
