Banana Oatmeal Cookies

print These banana oatmeal cookies are made with brown sugar and vanilla, with the addition of raisins.

  1. Heat the oven to 375 F.
  2. In large mixing bowl with an electric mixer, beat shortening, brown sugar, egg, mashed banana, and vanilla until creamy.
  3. Mix flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture; blend well.
  4. Stir in oats and raisins.
  5. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
