This apple pie includes raisins, pecans, and brown sugar. Use your favorite pastry recipe or a frozen pie shell. This is a rich and delicious pie.

- Heat the oven to 350 F.
- Combine brown sugar, butter, cornstarch, milk, and vanilla in a saucepan; cook until slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
- Place apples and raisins in 10-inch baked pastry shell.
- Pour cooked mixture over the apples and sprinkle pecans over top.
- Bake for about 1 hour.
