Cranberry Bread Recipe

This cranberry bread is made with canned whole cranberry sauce and flavored with orange extract or grated orange peel. This is a wonderful bread to make around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes


  1. Heat the oven to 350 F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter; beat in milk and egg. Add cinnamon, vanilla, and orange extract; beat well.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture, stirring just to blend. Stir in cranberry sauce and chopped pecans.
  4. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9-by-5-by-3-inch loaf pan.
  5. Bake at for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
