Halibut Recipe, Microwave

print I love halibut, and besides being light, this recipe is quick, easy, and tasty. Use halibut steaks of serving-size fillets for this recipe. Plan to begin preparation a little early, because the fish marinates for about 30 minutes before cooking time.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Marinate: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 5 Minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes


  1. Place halibut steaks in a shallow microwave dish, placing thickest parts towards outside edges of dish. Combine remaining ingredients in a cup and pour over the halibut steaks.
  2. Cover dish with plastic wrap; refrigerate for 30 minutes, turning once to let marinade flavor both sides of halibut.
  3. Turn back one corner of the plastic wrap to vent dish and microwave on HIGH power (100%) for 4 to 5 minutes. Rotate dish a quarter turn after 2 minutes.
  4. Let stand 3 minutes before serving. If desired, garnish halibut steaks with lemon slices and parsley.
