Hot and Spicy Beef Chili Recipe

print This beef chili is made with lean stew beef, vegetables, and spicy seasonings. Feel free to add more cayenne pepper to this chili for a hotter dish. Serve with fresh baked cornbread and salad for a fabulous family dinner.

  1. In a Dutch oven or heavy stockpot, brown beef in the canola oil. Add next beef broth, 3 cups of water, bell pepper, onion, garlic, tomatoes, salt, cayenne, chili powder, and cumin; simmer for 2 hours.
  2. In a small bowl combine the water, cornmeal, and tomato paste until well blended. Stir cornmeal mixture into chili to thicken. Simmer for 20 minutes longer.
  3. Garnish with shredded cheese.
