Beef and Beer Stew

This beef and beer stew is made with condensed beef broth, beer, and seasonings. Serve this beef and beer with warm crusty bread or rolls and mashed potatoes or noodles.

Cook Time: 3 hours 10 minutes
Total Time: 3 hours 25 minutes

Instructions:

  1. In Dutch oven or large, heavy saucepan, heat butter and oil. Add meat and cook until well browned on all sides. Remove meat and set aside.
  2. Add onions to pan and cook until slightly browned.
  3. Stir in flour and cook until browned (about 4 minutes).
  4. Stir in beef broth, bouillon cubes, beer, brown sugar and seasonings. Return meat to pan, cover tightly and simmer for 3 hours or until meat is tender.
  5. Stir occasionally and add water as needed.
  6. Serve plain or over hot cooked noodles or rice.
