Cabbage Casserole

print This cabbage casserole is easy to put together and makes a satisfying meal. The cabbage is combined with ground beef and sliced apples.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, saute the onion and celery in butter for 2 minutes. Add beef and salt and cook until the ground beef is browned.
  3. Spread half of the cabbage in a 2-quart baking dish and cover with half the apples and all the browned beef mixture. Add remaining cabbage and apple slices.
  4. Cover tightly with foil and bake 50 to 60 minutes.
  5. Serve this cabbage and ground beef casserole with mashed potatoes or buttered noodles.
