This cabbage casserole is easy to put together and makes a satisfying meal. The cabbage is combined with ground beef and sliced apples.

- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, saute the onion and celery in butter for 2 minutes. Add beef and salt and cook until the ground beef is browned.
- Spread half of the cabbage in a 2-quart baking dish and cover with half the apples and all the browned beef mixture. Add remaining cabbage and apple slices.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake 50 to 60 minutes.
- Serve this cabbage and ground beef casserole with mashed potatoes or buttered noodles.
