Hash Brown Casserole Recipe

This version of the hash brown casserole is made with cream cheese and cream of celery soup, along with frozen hash brown potatoes, chopped onion, and shredded cheese. This is an excellent casserole to serve along with a hearty breakfast or brunch, or serve it as a side dish with dinner.

Cook Time: 1 hour 25 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour 40 minutes

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cream of celery soup, milk, and cream cheese. Cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Combine the hash brown potatoes and onions; stir into the soup mixture.
  3. Pour into a buttered 11-by-7-by-1 1/2-inch baking dish. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake at 350 F for 1 1/4 hours, or until the potatoes are tender.
  4. Remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top. Return to oven for about 8 to 10 minutes to melt the cheese.
