Quick New England Baked Beans

  1. Saute bacon and onion until onion tender; remove pan from heat. Stir in honey, mustard salt and cayenne.
  2. Layer half of the beans in 2-quart baking dish. Spoon half of the honey and bacon mixture over beans. Repeat layers.
  3. Cover and bake in a preheated 325 F oven for 1 hour or until honey is absorbed.
  4. Prepare in advance to let flavors mellow.
