In this vintage recipe, oysters are baked with bread crumbs and hard cooked eggs, with buttery topping.

- In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter; add onion and celery. Cook on low heat until the vegetables are tender. Add oysters that have been cut up with scissors and a little oyster juice. Cook for about 5 minutes, until oysters curl.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add the bread crumbs, grated eggs, and parsley to season. Add salt and papper to taste. and Moisten with oyster liquid or water.
- Mound some of the mixture into oyster shells or spoon into a greased baking dish; sprinkle cracker crumbs on top and dot with butter. Bake at 350 F about 20 minutes
